About Fewer Better Dates
What this is, what stage it's at, and how the city guides get made.
Fewer Better Dates is an early-stage project testing demand for a different kind of dating experience: a small, structured number of introductions over eight weeks instead of an open-ended queue of profiles to swipe through. Right now, that means a founding waitlist and a set of city dating guides — not a working matchmaking app. We're deliberately building the case for it, city by city, before building the product itself.
Who publishes this
Fewer Better Dates is published by Gesmine-Invest Limited, a UK-registered company (company number 14120136). Waitlist signups are stored to understand where interest is strongest and to contact people once founding memberships open — see our privacy policy for exactly what's collected and why.
How the city guides are researched
Every figure in a city guide — population, single share, median age — comes from a named, dated public source (national statistics offices, census data, or credible published research), shown inline with a link. We only publish a city once we have real, sourced material to back it up; several cities we looked at (Edinburgh, Chicago, Los Angeles) aren't published yet because we couldn't find a clean, citable city-level figure for one of the required stats. We'd rather leave a city out than guess.
The "best ways to meet people" section in each guide lists real, currently-active local organisations (running clubs, volunteering groups, community meetups) rather than generic advice, checked at the date shown on each entry.
